With his mix of slick punch lines and metaphors fused with east coast word play, This Maryland rapper is one to listen to and for. Growing up in the capitol city of Annapolis, Maryland, much of the 22 year old MC’s life is fashioned by his humble upbringing. Raised in the low income public housing community of Annapolis Gardens (Onion Block), Nellz set his foundation for his music with his experiences growing up. Nellz has 8 brothers and sisters who is the driving force behind his musical motivation. A true wordsmith and Poet at heart, Kay-Nellz begin rapping around age 9 when his older sister wanted him to feature on an intro to a song she was recording with cousin and member of FAM-ILE T-Y. From that studio session to this date, Nellz has worked crafted and perfected his talent outside the lines of poetry and into the threshold of hip hop. Now standing on the patio of Hip Hop’s door, Nellz is looking to re-establish, and forge once again the soul, creativity, and the talent aspect that hip hop has been lacking in recent years. Nellz has a mantra, “Every individual has a story, and with their story they have many different ways of expressing it. Some do it through politics, some through community service, and some through their careers and jobs. I do it through music; every song is a soundtrack to my life!” Nellz urges to listen with your ears and understand with your heart’s….”Vibe Wit Me”

Yung Cin of 25th Hour

Yung Cin born and bread in the Championship City of Inglewood, CA is 1/3 of the group 25th Hour. As part of the group, Young Cin has enjoyed the opportunity to have his music featured in a full length film and hit the stages of some of the hottest performance venues in LA. As an individual, he enjoys employing his skills as a working recording engineer, producer and solo artist.

Inspired by artists such as 2 Pac, Biggie, Big L, Big Pun and Guru, Yung Cin is an artist that celebrates the origins of Hip Hop and the underlying mission of a world music community. His style is definitely the West Coast tribute to true Hip Hop and its contagious passion and emotion filled missives from early bards of the genre.

Yung Cin brings diversity in his music and style that recognizes the ever-changing pattern of life. In a recent interview with The Urban Link, Yung Cin explained that “Honestly, life is diverse and I like for my music to reflect life no matter how great it is or how incredibly messed up it can be…as an artist, I feel it is my job to paint those pictures and hold it up to the world’s face and show those images to people that may never experience those obstacles or accomplishments.”

His fans can always expect honesty and Cin has come to understand that being real is built on being true to himself and Hip Hop so that his fans know they will get “good, honest from the heart Hip Hop”, in many different textures but with an undeniable balance.

Part of Yung Cin’s climb to success is following his own advice to not stop at the first “NO” you receive in the music industry, feeling that “you should never be crippled by a two letter word” and remembering always that this is a business and he treats it as such.
